D&S Panel at Left Forum

Left Forum 2011

Left Forum 2011

D0llars & Sense is sponsoring a panel discussion at this year’s Left Forum  on the state of the banking sector.  The panelists will be:  Polly Cleveland of Columbia University; Rob Larson of Ivy Tech Community College; and William K. Black of the University of Missouri at Kansas City.  I (D&S co-editor Chris Sturr) will moderate.  A link to the page on our panel in the online program is here.

We’re going to aim for a roundtable-type discussion, with each speaker speaking for ten or fifteen minutes, followed by a questions from, and discussion with, the audience.  As moderator I’m planning to press the economists to help us see where, in the mess that the banking sector is these days, there might be openings for left activism.

Please stop by the D&S table at the Left Forum book exhibit!  As usual we’ll have deep discounts on our books and on subscriptions.
