Defend Ohio- -Stop Kasich
Defend Ohio–Stop Kasich: Hat-tip to D&S pal Taki M. about this rally, organized partly by sometime D&S author Dan La Botz (who also ran for U.S. Senate in Ohio in 2010, under the banner “Dan La Botz–Buckeye Socialist”!). Here are the details:
Should Ohio collective bargaining rights to public workers? Privatize
the Ohio Turnpike? Cut taxes for the affluent while gutting
education?
It’s time to defend Ohio and defeat the Kasich agenda.
Join the Defend Ohio Campaign to support good jobs, schools, & public
services. We will assemble (indoors) at 172 E. State Street, Columbus
on Saturday, January 8th at 12 p.m., to defend Ohio. After hearing
from leading Ohio activists, we will walk to the Statehouse to
publicly express our opposition to Governor-elect Kasich’s attacks on
workers, education, and public services.
The Defend Ohio Campaign unites Ohioans of diverse political
perspectives. We oppose Governor-elect Kasich’s divisive attacks on
unions and public employees and his plans for deep cuts to schools,
Medicaid, and vital public services. For more information, contact defendohiocampaign–at–gmail–dot–com.
If you are not a resident of Ohio, please forward this message and this flyer to interested persons.

Go get him! And please contact all Unitarian Universalists in Ohio — you will find some supporters there.I wish I could march with you, but I’m in Virginia.
I just read the the Gov.’s first act will be to change the rights of public service union members, who will no longer be able to strike in Ohio or else they will automatically lose their jobs.
Isn’t that in violation of federal law? Can you mount a legal challenge to that if it comes to pass in Ohio?

You are an idiot, a loon and a pinhead!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unions are no longer needed in this country. They bully, intimidate and threaten non-union workers who do not wish to join. Unions promote lazy slackers who are protected from getting fired.

This guy has to be related to HITLER. He is out of control, don’t people understand this crackhead is out for personal gain only? He and his biddies were involved with the GOVERNMENT BAILOUT!!!! All he doing is trying to get a quick buck , for OHIO, and pay the feds back the money the state owes, and be the SAVIOR FOR THE STATE OF OHIO!! Guess what ? , putting a band-aid on the situation doesn’t solve anything. This guy is a control freak, ADOLF KASICH , wants to privatize everything, pay off debt, get his KICKBACKS ,which is against the ethic code!! , get out , make his millions, move on to next state, and guess what?, OHIO is broke again, with no money coming in. You lease out everything OHIO has nothing, all of our wages go down, retirements are gone, teacher pay is cut in half, which their under paid anyhow, liquor control is dictated, which 50,000.00 jobs are going to be diminished . This man is nuts, WAKE UP OHIO , he thinks public employees make to much money, and don’t deserve to retire, what kind of money does he make? I think the Governor should only make $10.00 an hour, all yea, he is a millionaire that is right, because he is CROOKED . People in OHIO, better wake up. This is exactly the way ADOLF HITLER started out. This guy is nothing but an arrogant little prick, with the little guy syndrome, if i had to guess , probably a BED WETTER .

Actually, not all Unitarian Universalists are pro-union. I’m a Unitarian Universalist, and I have found that unions tend to kill more jobs than they save sometimes.
That said, calling someone names and using the name of someone you don’t like so they get blamed for it probably isn’t the best way to argue your case…Linda, or whatever your name actually is.

Everyone was so excited to vote in these re-pubes and now that they have them in office, they are screwing the average worker every which way to Sunday. Everyone was so against Obama so you voted Rep. Why would you people vote for him? 2012 will get them out! Is it a coincidence that all the states are going broke at the same time? You can’t blame that on the unions!

kasick is just trying to ruin everyone who is not a millionaire.he is taking away are rights ,first collective bargaining rights then, we vote for a casino,he is trying to get rid of,kasick hired two firms to look into the casino matters and is paying them 400.00 dollars a hour that can take up to 2 years to figure out,the two firms are probably kasiks lehman buddies which he is getting a cut from at the taxpayers expense,so corrupt,we need this maniac out of office.people we need to wake up.between gas prices, thanks to bp oil spill (thats what it is) utilities 56.00 for 2 light bulbs, water hikes (for not using enough water)sewr hikes(to clean up lakes)you cant get ahead, they just keep taking and taking, and now for the last 3 months kasick socking it to the middle class,if we dont stand up for our rights ,they will just keep on taking, youll see.
