Long-term unemployment bad enough to warrant action

The White House has demanded that legislators not extend unemployment benefits as part of the upcoming economic stimulus package, despite the fact that the latest jobs report from the Department of Labor shows that long-term unemployment is already a problem.   1. Talking point from a Republican senator on CSPAN.We need to give tax cuts to businesses so that they will create more jobs.BUT, with a 5% unemployment rate, there is no need to expand unemployment benefits because we now have full employment
